Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Antingham and Southrepps Primary School and Nursery. A school that enables the achievement of all pupils. This is a two-way process: the determination, hard work and perseverance of the pupils coupled with the commitment, dedication and high expectations of the staff.

As the Headteacher of Antingham and Southrepps Primary School and Nursery it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website. I hope it provides you with the comprehensive information you require and a glimpse into the life of the school. If after searching the website you still require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

I may well be accused of being biased but I feel compelled to let you into a little secret, Antingham and Southrepps is a truly wonderful school. It sits proudly in the heart of our community valuing the bonds forged with all those that choose to walk through our doors.

We are committed to providing a stimulating and motivating learning environment, one that equips and prepares our pupils for the 21st Century. We believe that everyone in school should enjoy their learning and feel proud of their achievements. To fulfil this, we will provide a curriculum which gives equal value to developing children’s academic, social, physical and emotional understanding.

We believe that by a commitment from everyone working together, parents, staff, governors and children, we will provide an education for every child, that will enable them to grow as unique individuals prepared for the next steps in their lives.

Our aims and values guide us in all our decision making, from deciding on out development priorities to assembly themes and curriculum choices. We ensure that every child here is prepared to make a positive contribution to the society in which they live and that they can function in the fast-changing world in which they find themselves. Through fostering a lifelong love of learning, we hope to help our pupils to live a full and happy adult life.

As a school community we believe that children thrive when the entire school community – pupils, parents, staff, governors and the local community come together. We strongly value the relationship we have with our parents and recognise that effective partnerships are essential. We appreciate and value the support our parents give us and the role they play in enriching our children’s experiences and supporting their child’s education. Parents are always most welcome into school to help or to discuss their child’s progress or any matters of concern.

My introduction to the school and the website only offers you a window into the heart of our school, so feel free to open the door by arranging a visit and seeing the school at its best.

Kindest regards,

Mr Elcock
